Thomas Letts (1803-73)

Thomas Letts’s tomb is well-loved in the cemetery for its sculpture of a lamb. Thomas himself is known for the diary that bears his name. His stationary company also produced ledgers, interest tables and other log books. Its large factories were in New Cross. Thomas faced challenges in business, and it was his son Charles who steered the family firm successfully into the 20th century.
