Rev. Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892)

Perhaps the most popular Baptist minister of his time, the Reverend Charles Haddon Spurgeon gave his first sermon at just 16 years’ old. He preached at the Metropolitan Tabernacle in Elephant and Castle, where he attracted record numbers. His sermons were published every week and were read widely. His funeral attracted huge crowds.
