Henry Doulton (1820-1897)
Henry Doulton’s mausoleum is made from the ceramic tiles produced in his Lambeth factory. Henry started out in the family pottery, which made ceramic pipes and chimneys. He unveiled their first art pottery at the Paris exhibition in 1867. By the 1880s, Henry had his own firm – Doulton & co – which made decorative china. Two of his artists, the Barlow sisters are buried nearby.
