George Dodd MP (1800-1864)

George Dodd’s mausoleum was designed to look like a gothic chapel. The architect was Thomas Allom, who used coloured marble for the design. George himself was the Conservative Party member of parliament for Maidstone, in Kent, from 1841-1853.
